I build the web and mobile apps behind Nautech, the platform that brings a boat’s onboard systems onto a single screen.

Nautech Core, the onboard unit

Nautech brings a boat’s existing onboard systems into one connected platform: position, batteries, tanks, engines, bilge level, shore power. All of it live, from a single boat to an entire fleet.

I joined the team as a second-year intern, and I’ve been a developer there since early 2025. I work on the web dashboard and the mobile app: back-end services in ASP.NET Core, mobile interface in .NET MAUI, data on SQL Server.

About

I started with a BTS SIO. An internship turned into a job, and I haven’t stopped building since.

What I like about this work is that it lets me explore and build. Software development, site design, systems and network problems: each one comes with its own constraints, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.

I keep learning, because the field won’t sit still. That’s what took me from PHP to .NET, and from coursework projects to a platform running on real boats.

I work in French, English and Hungarian. In practice that means a Hungarian client and a French client get the same site, each in their own language, with nobody in between.

Away from code: sport, travel, and conversations about more or less anything.

The brief also called for a Konami code hidden somewhere in the app.

Security

Building also means knowing how it breaks.

Alongside development, I practise ethical hacking. Finding a flaw in a system, understanding how it gets exploited, then writing the fix: it’s the best school I know for learning to build something solid.

I’ve run penetration tests to see how systems hold up against different threats, identified vulnerabilities, and put the corresponding fixes in place.

01

Finding flaws

Spotting what can be turned against the system before somebody else does

02

Penetration testing

Testing how robust the system actually is, not how robust we assume it is

03

Fixes

Closing the hole, and checking that it is really closed

I train there regularly on realistic security scenarios, to stay current on recent vulnerabilities and attack techniques.

It shows in the code I ship: server-side validation every time, access rights decided before the feature, and never any trust given to what comes from the browser.
